The Downtown Aberdeen Advisory Board (DAAB) is comprised of four working committees aligned with the Main Street Four Point Approach.

~ What's New ~

Over the past 2 years, the Downtown Aberdeen Advisory Board (DAAB) has worked hard to implement various improvement projects identified by stakeholders and business owners as critical vehicle and pedestrian improvement needs, as well as streetscape and beautification projects throughout Downtown. We’re moving forward on a path towards establishing and executing transformation strategies that will set in motion annual work plans that align with our Downtown revitalization vision and goals.

~ Recent Projects ~

Sidewalk & Curb Power Washing: This was one of the first DAAB planned, funded and executed projects that motivated follow-on project identification and development needs.

Additional Crosswalks & ADA Compliant Ramps: Based on feedback received from stakeholders and community on pedestrian safety needs, this project was approved and funded in early 2024. The project began in June 2024 and is expected to be complete by late-2024.

Talbooth Street & Parking Improvements: This project was approved and funded in early 2024 and increased the available municipal parking spaces available to the public, as well as improved street function and appearance for both Talbooth Street and Knight Street.

N. Sycamore Street  Pedestrian Pathway Improvements: This project concept was identified in the Bike and Pedestrian Plan, funded in early 2024 and is focused on creating a pedestrian pathway that runs  along N.
